Scoring Professorships (Grades 11 and 12) and Clinical Professorships

Applications will be assessed against the following evaluative criteria and scoring methodology: 

  • Research and Research Leadership (50/100); 
  • Teaching and Researcher Development (30/100); and
  • Service to the University and the Academic Community (20/100).

Standard scoring model

In exceptional circumstances, it may be appropriate to depart from the standard scoring model. This should be on an individual basis so that the maximum Teaching and Researcher Development score is reduced to 20 with:

  • First alternative: Research and Research Leadership is increased to 60 points and Service remains at a maximum of 20 points; or
  • Second alternative: Service is increased to 30 points and Research and Research Leadership remains at a maximum of 50.
